The glen tanar estate

The Glen Tanar Estate in the Cairngorms National Park spans over 25,000 acres of Caledonian pine forests, rolling hills, and expansive farmland. The terrain ranges from the breathtaking summit of Mount Keen down to the picturesque Water of Tanar which flows into the River Dee.

The abundance of wildlife on the estate includes magnificent red deer, roe deer, red squirrels, golden eagles, ospreys, grouse, oyster catchers, buzzards, and wildcat, providing a paradise for those who want to immerse themselves in the iconic Scottish countryside.

The original stable block of Glen Tanar House on the estate now houses the Equestrian Centre, which offers guided horse riding tours of the estate, passing the riverside, woodlands and mountains that are so characteristic of the Cairngorms.
