Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann, or ‘Festival of Music in Ireland’, is an annual Irish music festival held at the start of August. Hosted by a different town or city each year, it’s the biggest annual Irish music, song and dance festival in the world. 

The festival began in 1951 in the Republic of Ireland town Mullingar and has since been held in more than twenty-five towns and cities.
