Highland Cow

the World’s oldest brEed of cattle

The Highland cow is one of the oldest, best known and most distinctive breeds of cattle in the world, and a famous symbol of the Scottish Highlands. This hardy breed thrives on mountain landscapes with bitter winds and heavy rainfall where few other breeds of cattle could survive. With long coats of auburn hair and majestic sweeping horns, Highland cows have been dated back to when records began in the 1800s.
